about me…

I make music for restless minds.

Songs about love, fear, strange thoughts, late nights and the beauty hidden inside imperfect things.

My sound lives somewhere between raw garage rock, old folk ballads, dusty blues and broken poetry — sometimes gentle, sometimes noisy, always honest.

I’m drawn to contrasts: tenderness and distortion, humor and darkness, simplicity and chaos.

A lot of my songs begin as fragments, symbols or moods before they become melodies.

I don’t try to sound perfect. I try to sound human. I try to sound like myself.

Welcome to my world. Tromo

Born in 1978 in Basel, I found music early in life and formed my first band at the age of 13.
I play piano, harp, guitar, percussion and saxophone — though my true main instrument has always been my voice.

Since the early 90’s I’ve been involved in numerous projects including Bluemaxx, The Matches, Jimmy & The Rackets, Supermaxx, Trio Gold and Sazrock, among others.

For the past few years I’ve been writing, experimenting and recording solo under the name Tromo — always searching for new sounds, new emotions and new ways to turn thoughts into music.
